Privacy policy

Short version: we collect what you give us through the consultation form, we use it only to reply to you and run our business, we store it securely in Australia, and we never sell it.

Who we are

Warp Vega Pty Ltd (ABN 82 701 492 971) (“Warp Vega”, “we”, “us”) is an Australian technology consultancy. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where we work with people in the European Union, we apply the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@warpvega.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a consultation or email us, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, company, the area you need help with and anything you write in your message.

Technical information. When you submit the form we also record the time, your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, the country your connection appears to come from and the page you submitted from. Our content delivery network (Amazon CloudFront) keeps standard access logs of requests to this site for up to ninety days for security and performance purposes.

What we do not collect. This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and uses no third-party analytics. If we later add a spam-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile), it runs only on the form and is subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
  • To prepare for and deliver any services you engage us for.
  • To keep business records we are required to keep, such as invoices.
  • To protect the site and our systems from abuse (for example, rate-limiting repeated submissions).

We do not add you to newsletters or automated sales sequences, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Where it is stored and who can see it

Form submissions are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Sydney region and emailed to our business mailbox. AWS processes this data on our behalf under its data processing terms. Our email and documents are held in Google Workspace. Access is limited to Warp Vega personnel who need it to respond to you, and is protected by multi-factor authentication.

Warp Vega works with clients across Australia and Europe, and our personnel may access information from either region. We do not otherwise disclose personal information overseas.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within twenty-four months. Information relating to an engagement is kept for as long as needed to deliver the services and to meet our legal obligations (generally seven years for financial records), then deleted or de-identified.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information: encryption in transit and at rest, private storage with least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication on all administrative accounts, and infrastructure defined as code and reviewed before changes are deployed.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing hello@warpvega.com. We will respond within thirty days. If you are in the EU you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to data portability; contact us and we will help.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and note the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
